Huskies Proud To Support Autism Speaks

The Empire State Huskies were proud to support Autism Speaks during their fourth annual Kids Helping Kids Campaign. The campaign is conducted each September in conjunction with the Huskies Organization Wide Practice which brings together players and coaches from all the organization’s teams to focus on developing player skills and promoting team bonding. The morning practice was followed by afternoon picnics and fun activities for the entire family. All proceeds from the sale of official Huskies apparel and accessories sold during the event went to benefit Autism Speaks. Past recipients of the Kids Helping Kids Campaign include Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure and the Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital at Westchester Medical Center. With the help of their players and their families, the Huskies are proud to extend their reach beyond the playing field to help support those who help others.

Autism Speaks is “the nation’s largest autism science and advocacy organization, dedicated to funding research into the causes, prevention, treatments and a cure for autism; increasing awareness of autism spectrum disorders; and advocating for the needs of individuals with autism and their families” (Autism Speaks.org/aboutus).
